Leon Whitten Lofton, II of Henderson, passed away Jan. 16, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Jonathan Kitchen and Chris Kitchen officiating with burial in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1973 in Jackson, the son of the late Leon Whitten and Donna Jean Clayton Lofton.
He grew up in Henderson and was a 1991 graduate of Chester County High School.
He worked for Gately Collisions in Henderson for several years and then for Clayton Farms for the past year.
He loved boating, water skiing and shooting pool. His number one passion was drag racing.
He was a member of A New Beginning Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Michelle (Jon) Collins of Henderson and Monica (Patrick) Payne of Finger; a brother, Chad (Amy) Lofton of Henderson; three young ladies whom he loved like his own daughters, Haley Taylor, Emma Greene and Alina Greene; two nieces and three nephews, Lindsey (Buster) Byrd, Logan Collins, Jacob Collins, Lauren Lofton and Seth Lofton; and a great-nephew, Clayton Byrd.
