LEONARD LUTZ Obituary – April 1, 1933 – Jan. 31, 2020

Leonard Allan Lutz, 86, of Henderson passed away Friday morning, Jan. 31, 2020 at his home.
Funeral services were 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors Crook Avenue with Doug Burleson and Mark Blackwelder officiating. Burial followed at Old Estes Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
He was born April 1, 1933 in McTaggart in Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of the late Guy Merle and Myrtle Jane Ranson Lutz. He graduated high school in Yellow Grass in Saskatchewan and later Johnson Bible College in Knoxville in 1955.
He married Ann Payne in 1966. He had preached for 60 years in South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and West Virginia. He helped plant two new churches, one in South Carolina and one in North Carolina. He retired in 2014, and they moved to Henderson in 2015 to make their home near their daughter. He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Payne Lutz of Henderson; a daughter, Lisa Eldridge of Henderson; one son, Guy Allan (Heather) Lutz of Maysville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Emma Eldridge, Daniele Eldridge, Alacia Lutz, Renee Lutz, Skylar Hill, Rayden Hill and A.J. Lutz; and a brother, Ronnie Lutz of Weyburn, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Lutz and Howard Lutz; and three sisters, Myrle Earlywine, Evelyn Huyck and Fern Lutz.
