Lesli Carmel Holland, 43, of Reagan passed away Jan. 4, 2020 at her mother’s home in Lexington. A celebration of life will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Jacks Creek Community of Christ Church.
She was born in Beaufort, S.C., Jan. 14, 1976, the daughter of Barbara Faye Willis Cole and the late Gerald Ray Cole. She grew up in Lexington and graduated Lexington High School in 1994.
She worked in food service for the Chester County School System, working at Jacks Creek Elementary, Chester County Junior High and Chester County High School. She enjoyed going to church camps, taking trips to the beach and organizing events like baby showers and weddings.
She also enjoyed crafts and could make a lot of beautiful things. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “YaYa.” Her bravery and strength were demonstrated in her six year long battle with cancer. She always put the needs and wants of others above her own. She was a member of the Jacks Creek Community of Christ Church.
She is survived by four daughters, DeAnna Hope Holland of Lexington, Summer Brice (Zach) Dickey of Finger, Harley LaShell Holland of Jackson and Skylar Reece Holland of Finger; a son, Derrick Adam Cole of Lexington; her mother, Barbara Faye Willis Cole of Lexington; six grandchildren, Braxtin Dickey, Brighton Dickey, Lillian Cole, Kinsley Cole, Kameron Carnley, Henry Blankenship and two on the way, including Parker Leon Carnley; two brothers, Steven (Wanda) Cole and Jason (Laura) Cole, all of Lexington; and a sister, Amanda (Chris) Cottingham of Gadsden.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Ray Cole.
