Mammie Louise Climer Swafford, 53, of Jacks Creek passed away July 6, 2022 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Memorial services were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Keith Carlson officiating.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday.
She was born Jan. 8, 1969 in Jackson and grew up in Chester County, the daughter of the late Bobby Glyn Climer and Mamie Lou Jones Climer Dennison.
She attended Chester County Schools. She worked as a carpet installer and at Chickasaw State Park. She loved painting and had worked as a self-employed painter for fourteen years.
She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church. She was very devoted to taking care of her down syndrome sister Betty.  
She is survived by her fiancé, Steve Craig DeForest; two grandchildren, Zoe Grace DeForest and Austin DeForest; a sister, Betty Jo Climer of Jacks Creek; and one brother, Anthony (Allison) Climer of Counce.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James Clifford Climer and Bobby Glyn Climer, Jr.
