Aaron Lynn Edwards, 73, of Henderson passed away Sept. 2, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Henderson City Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.
The family received friends at Henderson City Cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time Tuesday.
He was born June 26, 1948 in Memphis, the son of the late Walter Aaron and Mary Bryan Edwards. His father worked for the U.S. Government, and he grew up living in several states.
He married the love of his life, Cecilia Cloud on June 22, 1984.
He worked as a fireman for the Jackson Fire Department for 30 years and retired in 2001.
He was a talented musician and vocalist and had performed with some big named bands in the 1960s. He was a bicycle enthusiast who never met a stranger. He was also a great conversationalist, who loved talking to people and was knowledgeable enough he could converse intelligently on most topics. He was a Christian with extensive Bible knowledge.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Cloud Edwards of Henderson; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn (David) Edwards Farcas of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Ethan Thomas Asbury and Mary Katherine Asbury both of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Bryan Edwards.
