MARK BRALY, SR. Obituary – NOV. 15, 1955 – SEPT. 9, 2021

Daniel Mark Braly, Sr., 65, of Henderson passed away Sept. 9, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial followed in Sanford Rogers Cemetery. The family received friends at Bethel Baptist Church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday.
He was born Nov. 15, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of the late Edwin Harris Braly, Sr. and Clara Frances Deberry Braly. He grew up in Dallas, Ga., and graduated from Paulding County High School in Dallas in 1973. He attended Union University. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Henderson. He loved the Lord and was a volunteer with the Bellevue Baptist Church Prison Ministry. He was a humble loving servant of the Lord. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to sing and had a tremendous bass voice.  He moved to Henderson in 2008.   
He is survived by a son, Daniel Mark Braly, Jr. of Ringgold, Ga.; a daughter, Jessica Day (James) Sorrells of Rockmart, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Audrey Sorrells, Andrew Sorrells, Aiden Sorrells, Avery Sorrells, Alexis Braly, Alyssa Braly, Legend Braly, Horizon Griffith and Justice Malone; three great-grandchildren, Christian, Paisley and Carleigh; two brothers, Ed (Barbara) Braly, Jr. of Oakland and William Clint (Beverly) Braly of Auckland, New Zealand; and two sisters, Mary Hanson of Henderson and Miriam (Wendell) Hall of Dallas, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles David Braly.
