MINNIE DAVIS Obituary – Oct. 30, 1947 – April 20, 2022

Minnie Lee Plunk Davis, 74, of Henderson passed away April 20, 2022 at her home. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Dr. Billy Smith officiating. Burial followed in Chester County Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 9-11 a.m. service time Friday.
She was born Oct. 30, 1947 in Finger, the daughter of the late Henry Howard and Bonnie Lee Wright Plunk. She graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1965 and married Larry Davis on Feb. 18, 1966. They made their home south of Henderson. She worked at Chester County Sportswear for 30 years and in the mailroom at Freed-Hardeman University for several years, where she retired.
She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ, where she had taught cradle roll for over 30 years. 
She enjoyed her grandchildren.    
She is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Davis of Henderson; a daughter, Vicki (Brian) Davis Stout of Henderson; two grandchildren, Blake Snyder and Shelby Snyder; and three sisters, Allie Henry of Bethel Springs, Dorothy Redden of Henderson and Mary Jane Plunk of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Junior Plunk, Dwayne Plunk, Isaac Plunk, David Plunk, Buford Plunk and M.E. Plunk; and two sisters, Laverne Watson and Blondell Powers.
