Nancy Diane Rickard, 68, left this world on March 28, 2022.
A memorial will be held in her honor at the Sagamore Lodge at Chickasaw State Park at 10 a.m. April 23.
She was born in Hardeman County on Feb. 7, 1954 to the late Loyce Enoch Rickard and the late Martha Jane Hannis Rickard.
She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She never met a stranger and was always glad to have a new friend. After a struggle with COPD, she had been living at the Cades Center Assisted Living in Jackson for the past few years until January of this year. After being hospitalized, she transitioned to the Christian Care Center in Bolivar for rehabilitation. She absolutely loved spending her last few months there.
One of her favorite pasttimes was playing BINGO, and if she did not have a group to play with, she would spend hours playing on her phone. She loved playing the accordion, eating sweet treats and watching funny videos, Cheyenne and Walker, Texas Ranger.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Jane Rickard Harris of Finger; a brother, Larry Gene Rickard of Medon; and many nieces and nephews, dear cousins, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by an older brother, Chester Enoch Rickard of Selmer.
