NEAL BREWER Obituary – Oct. 28, 1935 – July 17, 2020

Richard Neal Brewer, 84, of Henderson passed away July 17, 2020 at his home.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Sanford Hill Baptist Church with Shane Connor and Charles Fowler officiating.
Burial followed at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at Ripley. The family received friends at Sanford Hill Baptist Church from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from noon-1 p.m. on Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request Gideon Bibles as memorials.
He was born Oct. 28, 1935 at Henderson, son of the late Charlie and Leva Katherine Rogers Brewer. He graduated from Chester County High School.
He worked for the Tennessee State Park and Recreation at Shelby Forest in Shelby County for over 30 years. He was transferred to Chickasaw State Forest in 1975, retiring in the mid-80s. He worked as a Park Ranger at Chickasaw Park and Shelby Forest where he was a Supervisor. After retiring, he worked as a security guard at Freed-Hardeman University.
He married June Craig Brewer. She passed away in 1976. He later married Marie Berry.
He was a long time member of Sanford Hill Baptist Church. He loved being with his family and watching Fox News. He was a Mason and member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Berry Brewer of Henderson; daughter, Sheila (Stephen) Watkins of Henderson; stepdaughters, Bonifay (Mike) Youngblood of Jackson, Cheryl (Chip) McGhee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathy Easterwood of Alexander City, Ala.; grandchildren, Rebecca (Dexter) Phillips of Nashville and Braden Watkins of Henderson; 11 step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and sister, Cara (Robert) Holmes of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, June Craig Brewer in 1976; sister, Marie Lee; brothers, Ray Brewer and Fay Brewer; and stepson, Jimmy Berry.
