NEVADA KIRBY – SEPT. 16, 1950 – SEPT. 29, 2021

Nevada Jean Robertson Kirby, 71, of Henderson Passed away Sept. 29, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial followed in Cave Springs Cemetery. The family received friends at East Main from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
She was born Sept. 16, 1950 in Dyersburg, the daughter of the late Elmer Leon and Francis Marie Humphreys Robertson. She grew up in Dyersburg.
She married Weldon Lamarr Kirby in 1980. They made their home in Henderson. He preceded in death on March 27, 2017. She was a homemaker who always cared for her family; most recently, she was able to care for her great-grandson Dakota, who brought her great joy and kept her going.  
She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Jane (Ronnie) Burchfiel of Enville, Vicky Jean Ables of Henderson, Misty Dawn (Brian) Thomas of Henderson and Amber Nicole Ables of Henderson; 16 grandchildren, Tamara (Ben) Connelly, Ashton (Dayton) Capps, Ashley (Adam) Gladden, Scotty Ables, Christopher (Chico) Ables, Jason Ables, Shondra (Bray) Brownfield, Brett (Hailey) Thomas, Briley Thomas, Brooke Thomas, Jeremy (Sabrina) Kirby, Jessica (Eric) Talbot, Meagan (Jonathan) Goodman, Tamara (Ethan) Terry, Meredith Riley and Rachel Riley; 20 great-grandchildren with one on the way; step-children, Kathryn Ann Kirby of Tignell, Ga., Jerry Kirby and David Kirby of Henderson; and four brothers, Stanley Robertson, Jimmy Robertson, Woody Robertson and Stevie Robertson.
