This week at Chester County High School was filled with action on the academic side of things! Our HOSA members celebrated HOSA week with many festivities. They were treated with ice cream, participated in Operation Game Day and a virtual reality surgery, and dressed down in jeans and a HOSA shirt. Considering that many of these kids will be our future doctors, nurses, surgeons, etc., we are very thankful that they were able to have this fantastic week for them!
Coming up, our basketball teams begin their first few games this week. The girls will play Trinity Christian Academy on Tuesday at home, and both teams will take on Huntingdon on Saturday. In recent tournaments and scrimmages, both teams have shown great potential. Our boys’ team played Madison last week and dominated. We look forward to watching them play this season!
The Chester County Beta Club will leave for the Beta Convention on Wednesday. Each student will participate in competitions such as academic quizzes, painting, drawing, singing, and more. This club has a history of winning multiple competitions and hopes to continue this again this year. Also, junior Jaylen Edgeston will campaign to become the state Beta Vice President. Running for office takes a lot of work and is highly competitive, so we are proud of him no matter what. He will give a speech, and his classmates will perform a skit to tell why Jaylen is the best candidate. Chester County High School is very involved in the Beta Club, and we hope to show even more representation in the club’s leadership this year.
