Last week marked the end of an era for many seniors at Chester County High School. With a score of 16-7, the Eagles defeated the Jackson North Side Indians to finish off the season with a record of 3-7. Though this game ended several football careers, the boys were satisfied with ending their time at Chester County with a win. Many friends, brothers, and teammates all played together for the last time. Two brothers specifically ended their time together this Friday in a stellar way. Touchdowns by Chad and Peyton Barham were a great way to wrap up these brothers’ time on the field with each other. We look forward to seeing how the football team will work hard to prepare for next season.
As one season ends, basketball season makes its way back around. Both the girls and boys basketball teams began to practice this Monday. After the boys’ state run last year, many are expecting an even better season compared to the 2022-2023 year. Neither team lost many seniors so both should show great improvements between last season and now. Come see these teams at Meet the Eagles on Tuesday, November 7.
Additionally, the high school celebrated Red Ribbon Week last year to encourage students to say no to drugs. Students participated in dress up days like sweatpants day, twin day and Jersey day to reinforce this theme.
It has been another great week at Chester County High School and we are excited to enter into this new season, both in sports and with the weather.
