Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), along with Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) and over 20 other colleagues, introduced a resolution demanding the Biden Administration work with Congress to develop a plan to combat the rise of violent crime across the United States. This resolution was also introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
“Violent crime continues to drastically increase in every major city nationwide. My Republican colleagues and I are committed to providing solutions that will keep dangerous criminals off our streets and out of our communities.” said Rep. Kustoff. “This commonsense resolution identifies urgent issues that need to be addressed for the sake of public safety, as well as sends a strong message to our brave law enforcement that we are focused on upholding the rule of law. I thank my House and Senate colleagues for joining me in introducing this critical and timely resolution.”
“Cities across America are under attack by criminals with no regard for property or life, and liberal politicians and woke prosecutors who enact policies that incentivize them to continue wreaking havoc on our streets,” Congresswoman Malliotakis said. “The American people have had enough of violence and crime plaguing their communities. I join my House and Senate colleagues in calling on the Biden Administration to work with Congress to restore law and order and protect the American people from the very worst in our society.”
