Richard W. Holroyd, Jr., 56, of Luray passed away Nov. 23, 2020 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
His life will be celebrated by family and friends who loved him dearly at his home in Luray on Dec. 12. Henderson County Cremation Services of TN, LLC provided services.
He was born Nov. 1, 1964 in Atlantic City, N.J., the son of the late Richard Holroyd, Sr. and Alice Marie Alexander.
His mother remarried the Jim Alexander, who adopted him and his younger brothers John and Matthew.
He was a contractor for many years. His son, Richie Holroyd, worked with him. The two of them were very close. He was a very kind and giving person who loved with all of his heart and would do anything for anyone.
He is survived by his “Pop,” Jim (Midge) Alexander; son, Richie (Heather) Holroyd; fiancé, Cindy Brittain; two grandsons, Jon and Jacob; sister-in-law, Camellia Alexander; and his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Holroyd, Sr.; mother, Alice Marie Alexander; brothers, John and Matthew Alexander; and grandparents.
