Robert E. Lee Brewer, 87, of Henderson passed away Nov. 22, 2023, at Bailey Manor in Winchester.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating.
Burial followed with Military Honors at New Friendship Cemetery.
The family received friends at Crook Avenue from noon-2 p.m. service time Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Carl Pekins Childrens Christmas Fund, Henderson Police Department’s Shop with a Cop or the New Friendship Cemetery Fund. 
He was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Chester County, the son of the late Robert Spencer and Maranda Elizabeth Davis Brewer. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1954. He entered the Navy after high school and served 20 years, serving during the Korea and Vietnam Wars.
He was stationed mostly state side except two years overseas. He was married to Mary Faye Vestal on March 13, 1956. 
After retiring from the Navy, he returned to Chester County and worked for the Postal Service in Henderson, retiring in 1992. He was a 33rd Degree Master Mason, member of the Masonic Lodge, F&AM #485 where he served as Post Master and was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #120. He was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon for 25 years and was a member of the New Friendship Community Club. 
Mary Faye preceded in death in 2012, and he later married Joyce Bain Hart. They made their home in the Friendship Community. Joyce passed away in December 2022.   
He is survived by a daughter, Lorie (Murray) Johnston of Bradyville; two sons, Steve (Donna) Brewer of Winchester and Charlie (Linda) Brewer of Lexington; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Brewer in 1995; two brothers, Joe Brewer and Douglas Brewer; and four sisters, Johnnie Bryant, Bessie Rankin, Blanche Tedford and Frances Busby.
