SAM REED Obituary – Nov. 16, 1978 – March 27, 2022

Samuel Edward Reed, 43, of Henderson passed away March 27, 2022 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Douglas Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery at Bethel Springs. The family received friends at East Main Chapel from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
He was born Nov. 16, 1978 in Peru, Ind., the son of Vickie Lynn Martin Reed Trice and the late Bruce Wayne Reed. He grew up in Indiana, Wyoming, Montana and Tennessee. He worked for McNairy County Highway Department and Proline Trucking Company and was a maintenance technician for an apartment complex in Ripley.
He married Dolly Wright on Sept. 6, 1997; they had a son Daniel. He later married Donna Brady on March 3, 2021, after a 17 year courtship. He was her full time caregiver for the past three years before her passing on Oct. 27, 2021. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on cars and mushroom hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his mother, Vickie Lynn Martin Trice; stepfather and best buddy, Damon Trice; two sons,  Daniel Wright of Bethel Springs and Seth Sandy of Henderson; a daughter, Brandi (fiancé, Bradley Warf) Reed of Henderson; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Brett Solley) Blaylock of Covington and Kelly (Shawn) Norwood of Brownsville; 11 grandchildren, Kylee, Liam, Penny, Jax, Lexi, Drew, Summer, D.J., Peighton, Amilia and Mason; two brothers, Charles Reed of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jesse (Heather) Reed of  Mitchell, Ind.; and three sisters, Kassieanna Hall (Dylan) Eads, Heather Butler and Diamond Butler all of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Donna Renee Brady Reed; a son, Nicholas Reed; and one sister, Alieanna Hall.
