Betty Marie DeGaetano, Pinson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 16, 2022. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue. Burial followed in Big Springs Cemetery at Pinson.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1947, to the late Thomas Avery Phillips of Amory, Miss., and Shirley Ann Corbin of Seymour, Ind. She was a good and faithful servant to her family. She was married to the late Vincent DeGaetano.
She is survived by her daughter, Kayley Porter; son, Russell Porter; grandson, Brenan Porter; her sister, Julie Ann (Marty) Laurel; and her brother, William (Laura) Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Avery (Sherrilyn) Phillips.
