Susan Hendrix Obituary – JUNE 1, 1947 – July 3, 2021

Susan Steed Hendrix, 74, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Memorial services were at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.
The family received friends from 3-5 p.m.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to the Jackson Animal Care Center, 23 Pinnacle Dr, Jackson, TN 38301 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
She graduated from Chester County High School and Union University.
She married Dwayne Hendrix July 5, 1968 and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful nurse, an independent businesswoman and a lover of all animals, especially her puppies.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne, Sr.; one child, Dwayne, Jr.; one grandchild, Jordan Hendrix of Sevierville; and her older sister, Sandra Steed of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert A. Steed and Sarah L. Andrews, and her dear friend, Marie Townes.
