TERRY COX Obituary – June 14, 1957 – Dec. 19, 2019

Terry Alan Cox, 62, of Henderson passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 as results of an automobile accident.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Wade Cox, Ken Kitchen and Chaplain Mark Pendergrass officiating. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-9 p.m. Sunday.  
He was born June 14, 1957 and raised in Chester County, son of Ural Haskle and Virginia Pearl Ligon Cox. He attended Chester County Schools.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1974. He married Cheryl Greene May 3, 1982. They made their home in Henderson. He was a home contractor and co-owner of Darryl Cox Construction.
He loved horses and Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a horse breeder. He was intelligent and quick-witted. After retiring due to disability, he helped as a primary caregiver for his mother-in-law, Sue Greene, for the last two years. He was proud of his daughter and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lynn Greene Cox; daughter, Tracie Lynn (Travis) Terry of Murfreesboro; parents, Virginia and Haskle Cox; sisters, Connie (Tommy) Austin and Kim (Darin) Barton, both of Henderson; and grandchildren, Payton Leech, Madelyn Leech, Brantley Terry and Paisley Terry.
