VICKIE SCARBROUGH Obituary – Oct. 26, 1961 – June 23, 2020

Vickie Renee Rouse Scarbrough, 58, of Pinson passed away Tuesday evening, June 23, 2020 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Jimmy Dyer officiating.
Burial followed at Big Springs Cemetery. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
The family asks that visitors please wear a mask.
She was born Oct. 26, 1961 in Pinson, the daughter of the late Thomas Brown and Mary Helen Rouse. She graduated from South Side High School in 1979.
She married Mike Scarbrough in 1983. They made their home in Pinson. She was a member of the Pinson United Methodist Church. She worked at Muller Optical and later The Eye Clinic in Jackson. She spent several years as an Administrative Assistant for the Madison County Board of Education. She most recently was the office manager at Chester County Grain.
She loved the beach and spending time with her family. She enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching re-runs of old television shows. She loved music, shopping and her many pets. She was a people person. She tried to heal and “talk” people through life situations.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Scarbrough of Pinson; two sons, Cody (Maggie) Scarbrough of Germantown and Blake T. (Rachel) Scarbrough of Pinson; and a brother, Tommy (GayLynne) Rouse of Hendersonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Thomesa Rouse.
