WILLIAM MIDDLETON Obituary – OCT. 3, 1948 – OCT. 22, 2021

William Roy Middleton, 73, of Enville passed away Friday morning, Oct. 22, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson- Crook Avenue Chapel with Keith Carlson and Guy Wright officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to The Gideons  International, 1450 Old Friendship Road, Finger, TN 38334. 
He was born Oct. 3, 1948 in Reagan, the son of the late William Harvey and Navelene Singleton Middleton.
He graduated with a welding certificate from Crump Vocational School in 1969. He worked for J. Tom Moore & Sons in Memphis building armored cars; he learned auto body repair and worked in the industry for many years. He operated Roy’s Small Engines in Scotts Hill and Reagan in sales and repair of lawn mowers and chainsaws.
In earlier years he was an avid fisherman. After moving to the ‘country’ from Memphis, he was happiest on a tractor or lawn mower, improving the home place or completing a project for Nita.
He accepted Christ as Savior Jan. 1973 and served as a witness for our Lord. He was a member of the Enville Methodist Church.   
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nita Mae Wright Middleton; two children, Keith (Stephanie) Middleton of Enville and Amy (Shawn) Middleton Wiley of Jackson; five grandchildren, Tyler Middleton of Bellevue, Neb., Brittany (James) Middleton Jones of Lexington, Casey (Becca) Bishop of Guam, Cooper Wiley and Abby Wiley of Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Savannah and Killian Middleton, Siraka and Araea Bishop; and a sister Oneida (Chris) Dangler of Lexington.
