Sen. Walley announces his decision to run for re-election in 2024

“We’ve made great progress, but there’s more to accomplish. I’m ready to go to work.”
State Senator Page Walley, today announced his intentions to run for re-election to the Tennessee State Senate in 2024. The Republican primary election is slated for August 1, 2024, and the general election is November 5th, 2024.
Walley has served as a State Senator since 2020 when he was elected with 76 percent of the vote in the November general election. Page has played a significant role in balancing the state budget, cut taxes multiple times, improved education, and voted to keep traditional Tennessee values strong.
“I am excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the people of the 26th district. I plan on always putting people over politics and never forgetting who elected me,” Walley said. “I appreciate the trust folks put in me 4 years ago and I don’t intend to let them down now.”
Prior to his current role in the legislature, Walley’s distinguished career includes serving five terms in the Tennessee State House in the 97th-101st General Assemblies, Tennessee Commissioner of Department of Children’s Services, Alabama Commissioner of Human Resources, and former Vice Mayor and City Council Member of Bolivar. Walley is Vice Chairperson of the State and Local Committee, and serves on the Council on Pensions, Energy, Agriculture, and National Resources Committee, and the powerful Finance Ways and Means Committee.
Page received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College where he played football and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed minister, Clinical Psychologist, and a Foundation Executive Director.
Walley is a member of the National Rifle Association, Tennessee Farm Bureau, and the Tennessee Federation of Independent Business. Page was named Legislator of the Year by the County Officials Association in 2022 and United Way of Tennessee Legislative Champion in 2023.
Page and his wife Terry have been married for 38 years and have three children and four grandchildren.
